OZARK…Mr. Cameron M. Mills, a resident of Ozark, died early Sunday morning, February 15, 2026, in a Dothan hospital. He was 53.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 20, 2026, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matt Sasser officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Mills was born on April 22, 1972, in Jacksonville, Florida, and spent his early years moving from place to place as his father served in the United States Navy. Those years took him through several communities, including Atlantic Beach, Florida. In 1984, his family settled in Ozark, a place he would come to call home, and he attended Carroll High School.

He was the kind of man who found joy in simple, hands‑on things. He loved working on his car, taking his time with it, and knowing every sound and bolt like it was part of him. He enjoyed being outside, especially when he was mowing grass or tending to the yard. There was something peaceful about it for him—just being in the sun, hearing the hum of the mower, and seeing the results of a good day’s work.

More than anything, he loved being with his family. Whether it was a big gathering or just a quiet moment, he was happiest when he was surrounded by the people he cared about. Those were the times that meant the most to him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Jane Mills, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life.

Surviving relatives include his son, Nathan Childree; father, Earl E. Mills (Petty Officer 1st Class, United States Navy, Retired); sister, Tina Jean Mills; brother, Earl Eugene “E.J.” Mills, Jr., all of Ozark; niece, Carmen Delaney Mills.
