OZARK…Zach Enloe, a resident of Ozark, died Sunday afternoon, September 6, 2026, at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was 39.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday, September 11, 2026, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
Zach was a native of Ozark and a proud 2005 graduate of Carroll High School. After high school, he continued his education at Wallace Community College and later attended Spring Arbor Christian College in Spring Arbor, Michigan.
At the time of his passing, Zach was a valued employee of Chili’s in Dothan, where he worked as a server and bartender. Before that, he spent several years working at El Palacio’s in Ozark, where he became a familiar and welcome face to countless customers. Zach was not just someone who waited tables. He had a gift for making people feel comfortable, appreciated, and at home. Many customers would specifically ask to sit in his section because they knew they would be greeted with a smile, great service, and a genuine conversation. He never met a stranger and had a special way of turning first-time customers into regulars and regulars into friends.
One of Zach’s favorite memories from his years in the restaurant business was successfully serving a table of fifty guests at El Palacio’s. Friends and coworkers often marveled at his ability to remember orders and keep everything organized, but Zach handled the challenge with confidence and ease. To him, it was more than just doing a job well. It was about taking care of people and making sure they enjoyed their experience. Moments like that reflected his dedication, attention to detail, and the pride he took in everything he did.
More than anything, Zach will be remembered for the loyalty he showed to those he loved. He was the kind of friend everyone hopes to have in their life. Through good times and difficult days alike, he could always be counted on to show up, lend an ear, offer encouragement, or simply be there when he was needed most. His friendships were deep and meaningful, and he treasured the relationships he built over the years. Those fortunate enough to call him a friend knew they had someone who genuinely cared and would stand by them no matter what.
Zach had a competitive spirit and loved spending time playing cards with family and friends. Anyone who sat down at the table with him quickly learned that beating him was no easy task. He enjoyed the challenge, the laughter, and the camaraderie that came with a good card game. Whether he won or lost, it was never really about the game itself. It was about the memories created and the time spent with people he cared about.
He also enjoyed video games, especially Call of Duty and Civilization, and spent countless hours sharpening his skills and competing with friends. His love of gaming provided both entertainment and another way to stay connected with those closest to him. Many cherished memories were made through friendly competition, late-night conversations, and shared victories along the way. Sports were another passion in Zach’s life. He was a devoted Michigan sports fan and proudly supported his favorite teams regardless of the season or the score. Whether it was football, basketball, or any other sport, he remained loyal through every victory and setback. He was also a dedicated fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Boston Celtics, faithfully cheering them on year after year. Watching games, discussing players and statistics, and sharing his enthusiasm with fellow fans brought him a great deal of joy.
Those who knew Zach will remember his quick wit, warm heart, and unwavering loyalty. He had a way of making people laugh, lifting their spirits when they needed it most, and reminding them that they were never alone. His kindness was genuine, his friendship was steadfast, and his presence brought comfort to those around him. He leaves behind countless memories that will continue to be cherished by family, friends, coworkers, and everyone whose life he touched.
Zach was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Man Ok Enloe, affectionately known as “Kandi,” whom he loved dearly.
Surviving relatives include his beloved dog, “Little Foot” and cat, “Ducky”; father, Philip Enloe; sister, Angela Wessner (Brad); brother, Colin Enloe (Emily), all of Ozark; nieces, Sierra Lindley and Claire Enloe; nephews, Junior Wessner, Brantley Rogel, and Wesley Rogel; cousins and numerous friends.
