Olen Lamar Glover, 60, a resident of Wicksburg passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Flowers Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Goodwater Free Will Baptist Church in Wicksburg with Rev. Teddy Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. prior to the services. Following the services, the family would like to invite friends and family to join them in the church fellowship hall.

Flowers will be accepted.

Lamar was born on June 28, 1964, in Dothan to Boyd Glover and Bettie Ruth Miller Glover. He was raised in Wicksburg and graduated from Wicksburg High School in 1982. After graduating high school, he attended Wallace Community College and received an associate degree. Lamar worked at Southeast Apparel as the IT manager for thirty-eight years. In his early years, he put many miles on his motorcycle riding with friends. Lamar loved his family, especially his nephew Matthew, music and Alabama Football.

Lamar is preceded in death by his mother, Bettie Ruth Miller Glover; brother, Shane Glover; close friend, Rex Quattlebaum; grandparents, John D. Glover and Bonnie Lee Glover, Olen Miller and Ruth Ellen Miller; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Survivors include his father, Boyd Glover (Frances) of Wicksburg; brother John Glover (Laurie); nephew, Matthew Glover, all of Mobile; sister, Debra Glover; stepsister, Angel Woodward, both of Kentucky; Aunt, Claudia Strickland of Wicksburg; uncle, Donnie Glover (Deborah) of Wicksburg; and a large extended family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Will Quattlebaum, Matthew Glover, Elliott Glover, Dannon Glover, Jason Strickland, Jonathan Wheeless, Rick Brackins, and Pete Weeks.
