COL. CHARLES WARD, POLICE CHIEF AND OZARK DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY RUNNING FOR MAYOR, SAYS HE’S RUNNING “FOR THE PEOPLE”
Current Chief of Police and Director of the Department of Public Safety Charles Ward recently announced he is throwing his hat into the ring and is running to be the next mayor of Ozark.
When asked why Director Ward has chosen to run for mayor of Ozark, he replied, “I looked at where the city is now and envisioned what Ozark could become. I feel I have the right skill set and qualifications to be mayor and improve Ozark in many ways. Ozark is a wonderful city to call home, but I want to take Ozark to the next level.”
Ward also discussed some of his top priorities he will work on achieving if he is elected as Ozark’s next mayor: “My first act will be to work with city department heads and other experts to formulate a plan where we set goals for how to improve all aspects of the city and layout where the city is going. We need to work on figuring out the best courses of action to improve the city we all care about and create the best direction and goals to accomplish that.”
