
Patsy Hagler Watkins of Dothan passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025. Born on February 7, 1947, Patsy’s life was a testament to the strength and warmth of her spirit. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Van Cooley officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
Patsy’s journey began as the beloved daughter of James and Cleter Murl Ryals Hagler. Patsy’s nurturing nature was evident in everything she did, from the way she cared for her family to the delicious meals she lovingly prepared.
Throughout her life, Patsy was a hardworking woman whose dedication to her family was unwavering. She was a loving mother to her sons, Billy Tice and his wife Joy, Bobby Tice and his wife Cindy, and John Tice, whom she raised with all the love of a mother. Her family was her pride and joy, and she instilled in them the values of kindness and compassion that she embodied.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Willie Tice, Taft Bruner, and Rex Watkins, and her son David Tice. Her legacy of love continues through her surviving family members, including her sons, her brother Tony Hagler and his wife Brenda, her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. Her special friend, Donnell, also holds dear the memories of the times they shared.
The memories of Patsy will continue to carry on through the lives of her family and friends.
