Peggy Joyce Goodson Bohannon of Florala, AL passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. She was 90 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Donnie Earles officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Elba, AL with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Peggy was born in Elba, AL on June 29, 1934, to the late Comer Crawford and Rena Bell Barbaree Goodson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bohannon; one brother, Clayton Goodson.
Peggy is survived by one daughter, Deloris Welch of Walterboro, SC; one son, Billy Goodson (Jackie) of Samson, AL; grandchildren, Holly Leonard (Dean), Brenda Lee Workman, Julia “Sissy” Workman, Danny R. Workman, Denver “Denny” Workman, and Jason Stanley; two great grandsons, Dylan Leonard and Hunter Leonard; two great-great grandchildren, Cooper Leonard and Magnolia “Maggie” Bell Leonard; three nieces, Olivia Bryant, Karen Roundtree and Jane Goodson; one nephew, AL Goodson.
