Peggy Ruth Hughes, 77, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, was called home by her Heavenly Father on March 26th, 2026, in Snellville, Georgia. Born on September 5, 1948, in Enterprise, Alabama to Q.P. and Lillie Ruth Hughes. She was an avid college football fan and loved rooting for her favorite team, Alabama.
Peggy graduated from Troy University and worked as a Sales Coordinator at Permite for 30 years. She was a dedicated and loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, cousin, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Charles, Christina, Meghan, Lauren, and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents Q.P. and Lillie Ruth, her siblings Betty and Jack, her son Daniel, and her granddaughter Ashley.
On Saturday, April 11th, 2026, there will be a viewing beginning at 1:00 PM followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL with Rev. Allen Marsh officiating. She will be buried next to her parents at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery off AL highway-52 Just outside of Geneva, Alabama.
