Peggy Sue (Belcher) Shelley, a resident of Eufaula, Alabama, died Tuesday, February 18, 2026, at her residence. She was 78 years old.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at White Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joey McCreight officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. Flowers will be accepted.
Peggy was born on September 20, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Titus Louis and Mildred Louise (Hendrix) Belcher. Peggy obtained her associate’s degree from Wallace College and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years until her retirement. Throughout her career as a nurse, she worked for Crowne Health Care and Medical Center Barbour. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and ancestry. Peggy was a member of Sardis Freewill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Roy Wilson Shelley; infant sister, Mary Ann Belcher.
Left to cherish her memories are her children Donna Gates (Billy), Roy Shelley, Jr., and James Shelley (Tammy); four grandchildren, Tiffany Olds (Cory), Cody Nelson, Stephen Shelley, and Meghan Dunn; four great-grandchildren, Nikki Garrett, Cayden Evans, Austyn Olds, and Kensie Olds; sister, Freida McPherson (Mike); brother, Buddy Belcher (Betty Jo).
Asked to serve all pallbearers are Cody Nelson, Stephen Shelley, Cayden Evans, Austyn Olds, Bryan O’Donnal, and Cory Olds.
