Phyllis Diane Bowen McCormick, age 72, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle Assisted Living.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Frith Hill Community Church Cemetery with Reverend Billy Gene Dickerson officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing.
Ms. McCormick was born in Headland, Alabama on May 7, 1954. In her early years of life, she lived on the farm as a farmer’s daughter. Later in life she worked as a cashier for several years. Ms. McCormick was a simple, sweet soul who enjoyed eating fried fish and snacking on candy. She was a faithful member of Frith Hill Community Church for many years.
Ms. McCormick is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Bowen and Juanita Bowen Dickson.
Ms. McCormick is survived by her life-long friend for forty years, Kathy Jackson; other friends, Billy and Patrcia Dickerson, Sophia Rogers, Vickie Barns, Daphne Hadden, and Curtis Henry.
