Rebecca “Becky” Lynne Hall, affectionately known as Becky to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Born on December 15, 1967, Becky’s radiant spirit and unwavering strength defined her 57 years of life.
Becky was a graduate of Dothan High School’s class of 1986 and later pursued her calling in the healthcare field, earning an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from the State College of Florida in 2014. This monumental achievement came after she devotedly raised her son, Rhett, always placing his needs before her own. Becky’s professional journey was marked by a decade of dedicated service as a secretary in the Respiratory Therapy Unit at Flowers Hospital starting in 1993, and she later touched countless lives as a Registered Nurse in the same facility’s Emergency Room.
The legacy Becky leaves behind is one rich with love and commitment to her family, who feel her absence deeply. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bud Hall and Nell Garrett Hall, as well as her brother, Andy Hall. Her memory will be forever cherished by her beloved son, Rhett Hall (Katie); her adored granddaughter, June Hall; her sisters, Barbara H. Reece (Tom), Pam North (Joe), and Marti Burch (Fred); her six brothers; her special friends, Lisa Parks and Rick Carchia; and the numerous nieces and nephews who were blessed to call her aunt.
Becky’s life was a testament to her loving nature, as she was a devoted mother and mawmaw. Her interests spanned from her days as an avid softball player, even taking to the field for Wallace Community College, to her fervent support for the Alabama Crimson Tide, encapsulated in her spirited cry of “Roll Tide.” Her love for travel took her to new places and reunited her with family scattered far and wide. Those who knew her from Highland Park Methodist Church will recall the melodic voice that once sang in harmony with her siblings.
The community will gather to honor Becky’s life and spirit on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. for her funeral service, which will be held at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Marc Hall officiating. Following the service, Becky will be laid to rest in Memory Hill Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to join together and share in the celebration of Becky’s life one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Becky’s honor.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to DaySprings Hospice and the staff of the Flowers Hospital Emergency Room for their unwavering support during Becky’s journey. The compassion and care they provided will always be remembered and appreciated.
