Rex Allen Trawick, age 61, passed away on October 19, 2026, in his hometown of Dothan, where he was born and raised.
Rex was a simple man who found enjoyment in the everyday things in life. He enjoyed fishing, working with his hands, piddling around, and refurbishing things. He had a way of finding purpose in the thing’s others might overlook, taking pleasure in keeping busy and making things useful again. He appreciated life in his own way, finding contentment in the simple things that meant the most to him.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents, Melton R. Trawick and Jackie Stewart Yates; his brothers, Donald Ray Trawick and Michael Trawick; and his son, Dylan Trawick.
He is survived by his brothers, James C. Trawick and Steven Trawick; along with several nieces, nephews, and other family members who will remember him in their own special ways.
In keeping with Rex’s wishes, no services will be held.
May he be remembered for the life he lived, the things he enjoyed, and the simple ways that made him who he was.
