Richard “Rick” Kenneth McLean, a resident of Dothan, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 8, 2026. He was 74.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Memphis Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Tate officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 12:30pm until 1:30pm at the church.

Rick was born in Queens, New York to the late George and Patricia Kirscner McLean on September 24, 1951. After high school, he began a trucking career as a truck driver and retired after forty-five years of service. He was a master wood worker and blade smith. He never met a stranger and was always concerned with the well-being of his neighbors. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Memphis Baptist Church. Rick was known in the congregation as the “Amen” guy, always vocal when in agreement with the message. He was a dedicated member of the Faith Riders. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Rick is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, June Salvoldy.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of twenty-nine years, Sheila McLean; a daughter, Jennifer Rust (Robert); a son, Tim McLean; four grandchildren, Jacob McLean, Logan Pineda, Savannah Edwards, , and Evan McLean; one great grandson, Levi Edwards; along with many friends.
