HALEBURG. . .Robert Earl “Robbie” Roberson, Jr., a resident of Haleburg, died Saturday afternoon, January 18, 2025, at his home. He was 43.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M Thursday, January 23, 2025, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Mark Bristow and Pastor Luke Westbrook officiating. Burial will follow in the Haleburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland.
Robbie Roberson was a lifelong resident of Haleburg. He was 1999 graduate of Houston County High School in Columbia. Robbie was retired, due to disability, and was formerly employed by Columbia Peanut Company. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elbert and Beatrice Bristow, Pearl Weaver and William Hancock, a brother, Ernie Amos, his step-father, Jackie Elliott and his special canine friend “Blue”.
Surviving relatives include his mother, Joy Bristow Littlefield (Roy), Haleburg; his father, Earl Roberson (Ruby), Shorterville; his sisters, Beth Altman, Shorterville; and Tammy Amos (Aaron Campbell), Abbeville; a brother, Lee Roberson, Mobile; nieces, Addison and Kaylee Roberson, and Kelcy Evans; nephews, Corey Amos, Taylor Blair and Trent Evans; great-nephew, Reece Amos, uncles, Gill Bristow and Mike Bristow; several cousins, and special cousins who he thought the world of, Frankie Money, and Tommy Lee Money, who died October 5, 2022.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Casey Anderson, Ashley Trammell, Taylor Blair, Jefferey Smith, Justin Smith, Levi Littlefield and Corey Amos.
Robbie will be very much missed. He was known as a prankster and loved to aggravate any and everybody. Robbie struggled with life due to his disability but he never let it slow him down or stop him. He was a very hard worker and dearly loved and cherished his mother and father. At the time of his death, he was employed with Columbia Peanut Company. Robbie loved to fish, and in earlier years, hunting and playing baseball and pool. He dearly loved his nieces, Addison, Kaylee and Kelcy. Robbie was loved by all who knew him and he especially loved children.
Rest In Peace, Robbie. We all love you and will miss you dearly.
