ROBERT LAMAR CARROLL
SLOCOMB… Robert Lamar Carroll, a resident of Slocomb, Alabama, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at a Dothan hospital. He was 78.
Mr. Carroll was born in Geneva County, Alabama, to the late Dock Robert Carroll and Louise Sain Carroll. He was raised in the community he called home, where he attended and graduated from high school, and later continued his education at Wallace Community College in Dothan.
He spent many years working as an electrician in the construction industry, a testament to his dedication, skill, and strong work ethic. Beyond his work, he found his greatest peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, where he felt most at home.
Above all, Mr. Carroll will be remembered for his love of family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose presence brought comfort and strength to those around him. The memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Bush Carroll; his daughter, Staci Carroll, and stepdaughter, Tina Wilks; his son, Robert Lamar Carroll, Jr.; his sister, Cynthia Battle; and his brothers, Ricky Carroll and Mark Carroll.
He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Robert “Robbie” Lamar Carroll III, Shannon Watson (Jordan), Priscilla Givens (Billy Gainey), Savanna Tucker, and Cristen Howard; and his beloved great-grandchildren: Vanda Carroll, Alana Carroll, Jamison Watson, Briggs Watson, Carson Gainey, Caleb Givens, Benjamin Givens, and Emerald Naomi Batchelor, along with several other loving family members and friends.
Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family will never be forgotten.
No public services are planned at this time.
