ABBEVILLE. . .Robert Parker “’Bob” Weed, a resident of Abbeville, passed away, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at his home. He was 74.

There are no funeral or memorial services planned at this time. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Bob Weed was a native of the Lawrenceville Community of Henry County and moved to Decatur, Alabama with his family as a child. He lived in various locations while working different jobs. Bob returned to the Lawrenceville Community in 1988. He was of the Methodist Faith. Bob was formerly employed by Oceaneering as a Commercial Oilfield Diver. In later years, he was involved with land and timber management on the family farm in Lawrenceville in Henry County. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Louie Clarence Weed, his mother, Annie Vera Searcy Weed, three brothers, Louie Gordan Weed, Morgan William Weed and Dan Searcy Weed.

Surviving relatives include a brother, Warren Edward Weed, Birmingham; two nieces and a nephew.
