WEBB, ALABAMA. . .Rosalee Roark Fraze, a resident of Webb, Alabama, passed away late Saturday night, March 22, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her three children. She was 75.
There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Rosalee Fraze was born in Letcher County, Kentucky and was raised in Ingram Creek, Kentucky, daughter of the late Henry Roark and Gemela Caudill Roark. She and her late husband moved around the U.S. extensively with their three children before moving to Webb in 1998. Rosalee loved her family fiercely and was the O.G. Mama Bear. She enjoyed gardening mostly flowers and plants. Rosalee loved to watch all of her little birds outside and her two little squirrels, Winston and Ruby. She also enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. She leaves behind a lifetime of inside jokes, her love for all things Christmas, bossing her children around, her wicked sense of humor, and a legacy of love that knew no boundaries. Darian, Emily, and Lindsey were proof that her love had no boundaries. To say they had a special bond was an understatement. They were and will forever be “Grandmother’s Girls”. Rosalee was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert E. Fraze, a sister, Erma McGowan and two brothers, Henry Junior Roark and Charles Roark.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Jenny Bell and Jodie Fraze, both of Ashford; a son, Jason E. Fraze (Tifany), Webb, AL; a sister, Mary Sue Hicks, Florence, AL; grandchildren, Darian Bell, Emily Ellis and Lindsey Ellis; several nieces and nephews; and three step-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their appreciation to SouthernCare Hospice including Caneisha, Joann, Cherry and Esther and a special thank you to Rosa, for the loving care and kindness shown to Rosalee during her illness. Also a special thank you to Ashley Murdock who made Rosalee’s life much easier the last five years and loved her like family.
