Roy Edward “Eddie” Gross, Jr., a resident of Cowarts, Alabama died Monday, January 26, 2026 at Southeast Health Medical Center. He was 51.
Funeral services for Eddie will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Faith Baptist Church in Cowarts with Reverend Scottie Hatcher officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at the church prior to the service.
Eddie was born June 6, 1974 in Dothan, Alabama to Roy E. and Sylvia Harrell Gross, Sr. he was a lifelong resident of Cowarts and a 1992 graduate of Ashford High School. He had a passion for cooking and worked at Cracker Barrell and more recently Blue Plate. Eddie loved his family and was a prolific reader that also enjoyed sailing and cruising. He loved the Lord and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Eddie is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bernard and Faye Gross; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Virginia Harrell and an uncle, Tony Harrell.
Survivors include his parents, Roy E. and Sylvia Gross, Sr.; aunts and uncles, Henry and Beverly Gross, Phyllis and Jeff Miller and their children, Jordan, Julie and Joshua; Martin and Susan Marsh and their children, Eric and Jennifer Marsh and their children, Christopher and Caiden, Bethany Wise and her children, Sabella and Finn.
