Ruby Lee (Tedder) Morrison, 90, a resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Glover Funeral Home with DJ Rollan officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home of Dothan directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m., prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to, Calvary Baptist Church (Cottonwood), 267 Metcalf Street Cottonwood, AL 36320.
Ruby was born January 20, 1935, in Cottonwood to the late Roy Lee & Mary Naomi Sanders Tedder. She attended Cottonwood School in her early years and worked as a School Bus Driver and Teacher’s Aide at Cottonwood High School. Ruby later worked in sales at Grace’s Fad & Fashion for 14 years. Outside of work, she was an active bowling league member for many years. Ruby was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cottonwood.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donnell Morrison; her three sisters, Alice Fowler, Diane Tedder, and Mary Evelyn Tedder; and her brother, Terry Tedder.
She is survived by her two sons, Donald Morrison (Lorrie) of Dothan, and Randy Morrison (Tasha) of Cottonwood; her three grandchildren, Kane Morrison (Nicole) of Buena Vista, GA, Kendall Thornton (Doug) of Dothan, and Erica Chailland (Jordan) of Doniphan, MO; her seven great-grandchildren, Landon Morrison, Reagan Morrison, Will Thornton, Sam Thornton, Kassie Chailland, Ellie Chailland, and McKenzie Chailland; her two sisters, Faye Battles of Cottonwood, and Sylvia Fischer of Enterprise; and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kane Morrison, Landon Morrison, Doug Thornton, Will Thornton, Wayne Jenkins, and Jimmy McCall.
