
Sam Ray Bryant, Jr. of Westville, FL passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. He was 87 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Open Pond United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Steve Connell officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Bryant was born in Coffee County, Alabama, to the late Sam Ray Bryant, Sr. and Wynola Hawthorne Bryant Cartwright. He worked at Clinton Mills in Geneva for many years. Mr. Bryant lived most of his life in the Pittman Creek and Campground communities, areas he was very proud to call home. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and most especially spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of Open Pond United Pentecostal Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Rebecca Vaughan and Vivian Jenkins; one brother, John Wayne Cartwright.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sarah Bryant of Westville, FL; one son, Nicky Ray Bryant; one brother, Tommy Cartwright and many special nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Don Lee, Donny Crosby, Greg Windham, Greg Windham, Jr., Jamie Cooper and Andrew Connell.
