Shelby Clark, born on January 8, 1939, in Hartwell, Georgia, passed away on June 16, 2026, in Slocomb, Alabama. She lived a life dedicated to her family, her home, and the many things she loved.
She was the daughter of the late Claude and Drucie Roukoskie. Shelby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found great joy in caring for the people around her. She was a devoted wife and homemaker who took pride in creating a loving and welcoming home for her family.
Shelby enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and the simple joys of everyday life. She was known for being a wonderful cook and especially loved making treats for her children and grandchildren after school. Her hands were always busy, whether she was caring for her home, working in the garden, or creating something special.
Along with her husband, Shelby helped purchase and operate Clark’s Grocery, where she contributed her hard work and dedication to the business and the community. She valued family, hard work, and doing things the right way, and those qualities were evident throughout her life.
Shelby was also a talented artist and painter. She enjoyed writing and published one book, while also completing several other writings that she chose not to publish. She had a love for airplanes and history and enjoyed learning about the world around her.
She attended St. Columba Catholic Church years ago, which held memories from an important time in her life.
Shelby is survived by her daughters, Jo Jarrett and Kim Williams (Densie); her grandchildren, Bobby Tolar (Katherine), Robert Nowell (Brandy), Blake Nowell, and Jennifer Williams; and her great-grandchildren, Hallie Ann, Kayla, Karley, Addi, Timmy, and Blayne. She is also survived by her two special friends, Nancy Stembridge and Alice McElreath. Shelby will be remembered by her family and friends for her love, creativity, and the many ways she cared for those around her.
