Shelley Enfinger, Jr., age 76, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.

Graveside services will be held at Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 2:30 PM with Glover Funeral Home directing.

Shelley was born in Dothan, Alabama, to Shelley Enfinger and Mary Alice Enfinger.He led a life marked by strength, determination, and unwavering love to his family and friends.

As a child, Shelley developed a love for baseball, playing for the Boys Club and cherishing time spent with his beloved “Mama Smith” and his family. He attended Rehobeth High School.

Shelley worked for 37 years at Michelin, where his dedication and leadership left a lasting impact. Beyond his career, Shelley’s passions included cheering for Alabama football, playing golf, and dominating a game of dominos. He found joy in starting his mornings with breakfast at Ray’s, playing softball with friends at South Lena Street Baptist Church, and most of all, spending time with his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Shelley was a steadfast father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose strength and resolve served as an example to everyone around him.

Shelley is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Betty Enfinger, and his sister, Gayle Cook.

Shelley is survived by his daughters, Meichelle Adams (Robby) and Mary Alice Tyson (Chad); his son, Robby Enfinger (Elizabeth); his grandchildren: Claire Skipper (Wade), Madison Talton (Evan), Lauren Downey (Spencer), Coleman Adams, Spencer Adams, Emma Tyson, Skyler Adams, Isabella Adams, and Evelyn Enfinger; and his great-grandchildren: Ava Caroline Skipper, Watson Skipper, and Everett Talton. Shelley’s family meant the world to him, and his legacy of love and strength will live on in their hearts.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. McAllister and the nurses at Dothan Hematology & Oncology for the exceptional care Shelley received over the past two years.

Shelley Enfinger, Jr., will be remembered for his unyielding love and the joy he brought to all who knew him. His memory will be honored and cherished forever by his family and friends.
