
Skyler Ridge Metcalf
Skyler Ridge Metcalf, 25, a resident of Newton, passed away on November 30, 2025, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Skyler was born August 16, 2000, in Ozark to Todd Metcalf & Tina Looney, and spent his early years in Pinckard, Alabama, and was a proud 2018 graduate of Wicksburg High School. Following graduation, he channeled his energy and hands-on skills into working alongside his father in steel frame construction. He was a dedicated and tireless worker who valued the precision and strength of a job well done.
Skyler was happiest when he was outdoors. He was an avid enthusiast of riding four-wheelers, dirt bikes, and enjoyed shooting sports. He also possessed a mechanical mind and loved working on vehicles. Above all, Skyler cherished his friendships; his selflessness and deep desire to help others defined his character. He was the first to lend a hand, share a laugh, or offer support, leaving a legacy of kindness that will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward Metcalf Jr.; and his step-grandfather, David Ferguson.
He is survived by his father, Todd Metcalf of Newton; his mother, Tina Looney of Midland City; his sister, Hannah English (Quinten) of Ozark; his brother, Agile Metcalf of Newton; his niece, Hendrxx English; his aunts and uncles; Dawn Metcalf (Rocky Moon) of Rehobeth, Tracy Williams (Josh) of Dothan; his grandparents, Linda Lee Metcalf of Rehobeth, Kathy Ferguson of Midland City, Jake Butler of Bonifay, FL; his great-grandmother, Greta Stroup of Birdsboro, PA; his three cousins, Dalton Stealth, Brittany Shahabi (Ali), and Dylan Senn; and numerous close friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Glover Funeral Home of Dothan. Flowers will be accepted.
