On January 9th, Bama will put it on the line to play for a "piece" of the National Championship. Alabama's record is 11-1. If they win on January 9, Bama will have a record of 12-1. However, LSU is currently 13-0. So..... If Alabama wins and their record is 12-1 while LSU is 13-1 who is the better team. After, all Bama has already lost to LSU once this year. (Twice if you count last year.) The only way, Alabama can claim more than a Co-National Championship with LSU is to beat LSU 2 out of 3 games. Since there is only one more game, that will never happen. The only other way Alabama will be able to legitimately claim the one and only "BCS 2011 National Chapionship is to out score LSU by 3 to 4 touch downs. Anything less than 3 to 4 touch downs will mean a Co-Championship with LSU. Without that you will hear that Bama "Claims 14." ... Before you jump down my throat and say I am an LSU fan or Auburn fan, I have a degree from the University of Alabama.
