STANLEY DALE HINSON
HEADLAND… Stanley Dale Hinson, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at his home. He was 74.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, July 26, 2026, in the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Reverend Norman C. Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday prior to the service.
Stanley Hinson was a lifelong resident of Headland who was deeply rooted in his community and devoted to his family, faith, and the land he loved. He was the beloved son of the late James Ottis Hinson and Naomi Whatley Hinson. A proud graduate of Headland High School, Class of 1970, Stanley remained a steadfast supporter of his hometown throughout his life.
A member of First Baptist Church of Headland, Stanley lived his life guided by his Christian faith. He also proudly served for several years in the Army National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to serving his country.
For many years, Stanley dedicated himself to farming, a vocation he embraced with hard work, integrity, and pride. As the owner and operator of Hinson Farms, Inc., he built a lasting legacy through his dedication to agriculture and his love for the farming way of life.
In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Smith Hinson, sisters, Shirley Hinson Clower and Christine Hinson Armstrong and a daughter-in-law, Amber Hinson.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Candice Lawrence (Jack), and Jennifer Lawrence (Eric), all of Headland; a son, Jim Hinson, all of Headland; ten grandchildren, Tyler Lawrence (Alana) , Carlie Lawrence (Tyler Jackson) , Zachary Lawrence (Baylee) , Zoey Cook (Austin) , Zane Lawrence , Zeb Lawrence , Zayden Lawrence, Zada Lawrence, James Gunner Hinson, Gracie Hinson; great grandchildren, Whitt Lawrence, Grant Lawrence, Blakelyn Cook; sister, Gayle Parker (Jerry); several other loving family members and friends.
