Mr. Teddy Ray Roberts, a resident of Eufaula, Alabama, peacefully passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was 74 years old.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula with Rev. Jimmy Porter, Rev. Junior Morgan, and Rev. Greg Roberts officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. Graveside services with military honors will follow the service in the Georgetown Cemetery with Rev. Dallon Walker officiating. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Glover Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted.
Teddy Ray was born on June 3, 1951, in Midland City, Alabama, to the late Daniel Marvette and Nellie B. Gray Roberts. He retired from the United States National Guard as a Sergeant 1st Class, where he served in Desert Storm and retired from Eufaula Fire Department as Captain. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Harmony 46 in Eufaula. He served as Past Master and District Lecturer of District 34 for the state of Alabama. Teddy Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening but most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.
He is preceded in death by his parents; second mom, Willene Suber Roberts; grandson, Zachary Davis Roberts; three sisters, Martha Ann Roberts (Ralph), Helen Marie Langlois (Authur “Lefty”), Barbara Jo Creech (Henry); two brothers-in-law, Joe Blackburn and Barry Chason; sister-in-law, Diane Roberts.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Elaine Jernigan Roberts; son, Davis Ray Roberts (Brandy); daughter, Nellie Roberts (Wayne Weeks); sister, Shirley Hadley (Wilburn); four brothers, Danny Roberts, Michael Roberts (Barbara), Rev. Greg Roberts (Faye), and Ricky Roberts (Seretha); six grandchildren, Timothy Faircloth (Caitlin), Heath Faircloth (Angie), Honestie Roberts, Landon Roberts, Grayson Smith, and Ellie Smith; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Asked to serve as pallbearers are Little Greg Roberts, Corbit Roberts, Allen Blackburn, John Roberts, Ricky Lee Roberts, Justin Storey, and Timothy Faircloth.
