THOMAS J. SANDERS

WEBB… Thomas J. Sanders, a resident of Webb, Alabama, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at a Dothan hospital. He was 84.

No services are planned at this time.

Mr. Sanders was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Rube Sanders and Annie Lucille Crockett Sanders. He served his country in the US AirForce. While in the military he was an aircraft mechanic, and he used those skills for his career after the military. While in the military he lived in Texas and Arkansas before moving back to the Webb, Alabama area. He was a mason in the Ashford Masonic Lodge No. 493. He was also a member of the Webb Baptist Church.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Jean Sanders; his son-in-law, Michael David Hayes; his sister, Martha Yearta; and his brothers, Kenneth “Sonny” Sanders and Michael Sanders.

Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife of sixty-four years, Anita Louise Sanders; his daughters, Tracy Hayes and Christine Marie Cutchen (Chet); his son, Thomas Edwin Sanders (Lauri); his sister, Norma Jean Rentz; his brother, Jan David Sanders (Patricia); his grandchildren, Robert Morgan Kennedy, II, Patrick Alan Cutchen, and Phillip Adam Cutchen; his great-grandchild, Brody Michael Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.
