Toni Calabro Goins-Hutcherson, 64, of Cottonwood, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at her home on August 26, 2026. She was born August 29, 1961, to Peter and Marion Calabro.
Toni was friendly, loving, and caring. She loved traveling, especially to the beach, which was always her happy place. She loved sea turtles, Jimmy Buffett, Auburn football, and Christmas. She was also a devoted animal lover who adored her dogs.
More than anything, Toni loved her family. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and always made sure they knew how deeply they were loved. Her faith was also an important part of her life. She grew up attending St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and continued to value her faith and church throughout her life.
Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Marion Calabro, and her sister, JoAnn Speaks.
She is survived by her husband, David Hutcherson; her sons, Chris (Beth) Thornton and Ben (Candice) Thornton; her stepson, Kenny Hutcherson; her grandchildren, Lane, Aiden, Alyssa, and Capri Thornton; her sister, Mary Leah Barnes; her brothers, Steve Calabro and Pete Calabro; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Central Time on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 454 N. Central Avenue, Alexander City, Alabama 35010. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Central Time. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Toni and to celebrate her life.
