DOTHAN. . .Waymon Dale Curtis, a resident of Dothan, passed away Friday afternoon, November 28, 2025, at his home. He was 83.

There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Curtis was born and raised in Knoble, Arkansas, son of the late Omer Justice Curtis and Lucille Fowler Curtis. He lived most of his adult lifetime in Cicero, Illinois and also lived on Lake Eufaula in Henry County, Alabama before moving to Dothan in 1989. Mr. Curtis was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the Kingdom Hall on Cottonwood Road. He was retired from Rahal Buick in Dothan as an automobile technician. Mr. Curtis was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Riley.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Ruth Mullins Curtis; a daughter, Tabitha Slatton (Jason), Whitwell, TN; sons, Kevin Curtis (Stephanie), Midland City, AL; and Sean Curtis, Dothan, AL; a sister, Gabriella Weiss (Ronald), of Florida; brothers, Connie Curtis (Pam), Ocala, FL; and Dudley Curtis (Roxanne), Lake Worth, FL; grandchildren, Ethan Curtis (Victoria), Andrew Curtis, Madison Curtis Beard (Geoffrey), and Morgan Curtis; several nieces and nephews.
