William Earl “Buck” Stafford, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, in Geneva, Alabama, at the age of 79. Born on May 10, 1946, in Tampa, Florida, Buck was a man whose warmth and jovial spirit brought laughter and joy to all who knew him.

Buck was predeceased by his loving parents, Samuel James Stafford, Sr., and Ethel Margaret Moyer Parker, as well as several dear brothers and sisters. His memory will be forever treasured by his surviving siblings: Judy Huggins (Bobby), Phyllis Lahaye, Jeff Hughes, Dewey Hughes, John Stafford (Cindy), Ada Biddle, and Francis “Penny” Stafford. His numerous nieces and nephews, to whom he was a constant source of fun and affection, will miss his playful teasing and the unique bond he shared with each of them.

Buck’s zest for life was evident in his everyday activities. He had a passion for going shopping with his sister Ada, turning a simple outing into an adventure filled with laughter and camaraderie. His sense of humor was infectious, and he was always ready with a joke or a playful jab, ensuring that family gatherings were lively and filled with mirth.

A man of simple pleasures, Buck found contentment in working on puzzles, an activity that reflected his patient and meticulous nature. He was an avid fan of westerns, often immersing himself in tales of cowboys and the old frontier. Buck also enjoyed watching Ninja Warriors, cheering on the athletes and marveling at their feats of strength and agility.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Reese Baptist Church.
