KINSEY:    11:40 PM   Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Kinsey Volunteer Fire, Webb Volunteer Fire, Columbia Volunteer Fire, Headland Fire Rescue, Kinsey Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies to Dover Road in Kinsey to a structure fire. Reports to Houston County Sheriff 911 a mother and two children were trapped in the residence.

Additional ambulances from Pilcher Ambulance were requested and responded. The residence, a mobile home, was reported on fire. The residence belonged to a Kinsey Volunteer Fireman and it was his family. The volunteer fireman had been in Taylor assisting on the church fire. The Kinsey Volunteer Fireman, Kinsey Volunteer Fire Chief and others had just returned to Kinsey from helping Rehobeth Fire and Taylor Volunteer Fire with the church fire. Rehobeth Fire Chief Nick Floyd and fireman from Bay Springs Volunteer Fire rolled to Kinsey to assist.

Kinsey Police Chief Jim Mock and the father along with Kinsey Police Sgt. Morgan pulled the injured from the fire. Headland EMS and Pilcher’s transported the three patients to Southeast Health with law enforcement clearing the roadway for transport.

The Alabama State Fire Marshall was called to the scene to initate an investigation on the cause of the fire. Houston County Sheriff and Kinsey Police will work together along with the State Fire Marshall on the cause of the fire. The conditions of the three are unknown – other than critical injuries.

THIS IS RICKEY’S COMMENT:    Believing in a TRUE and LIVING GOD, the father responding to Taylor to the fire; he and others had returned to Kinsey moments before the Dover Road fire; Kinsey Fire being a volunteer fire department, some of the fireman were up and out when the call hit 911. So the response was quick. One would have to ask, was that divine intervention that the volunteer fireman would be up and out when the call hit 911 to allow faster response with people trapped inside the residence. PRAYERS LIFTED for all.
