REHOBETH: There is nothing like seeing your children set goals, and work towards those goals. And that has surely been the factor for Lucas and Kimberly Trotter in their son’s quest on bass fishing.
Dad, Lucas, taught them fishing as they frew up. While Lucas fished some tournaments, the bug hit both Colton and Easton who have worked hard and long on their goals of bass fishing.
Parents, Lucas and Kimberly Trotter, divide and conquer. One goes with one son on tournaments and the other parent with the other son.
Easton and Colton have worked together and learned from each other. And Colton loves spending time with his younger brother and fishing. Several months ago I spoke with Colton who was navigating the boat for Easton in a tournament and Colton could not fish. A difficult task for him!
Easton is 13 years of age, in the 8th grade at Rehobeth High School. He is a member of the Rehobeth Bass Fishing Club. Today, Easton and his fishing partner fished at Lake Jordan in a tournament. Easton and his partner finished 2nd place. Easton and his partner are leading AOY for the Wiregrass Student Angler Trail ( Juniors ).
These young men, as well as other members of the Rehobeth Bass Club, have worked relentless for their bass fishing skills. And both Lucas and Kimberly say “nothing better than seeing your kids dreams come true”. And both parents devote their time and energies to going with them on their tournaments, making sure they are safe.
HATS OFF to both of these young men, their parents and Houston County Schools, namely Rehobeth, for their full support of the bass teams.
