10:26 AM – BONIFAY ATM RINGLEADER SENTENCED: Thief Who Beat Technician Gets 15 Years

10:26 AM – BONIFAY ATM RINGLEADER SENTENCED: Thief Who Beat Technician Gets 15 Years

BONIFAY, (Rickey Stokes News)

One of the ringleaders behind a violent ATM theft in Holmes County is headed to state prison.

Circuit Judge Russell Roberts sentenced 27-year-old Jacorey Deshawn Hall to 15 years in prison on Wednesday in connection with the theft of $100,000 from a Wells Fargo automatic teller machine in Bonifay.

According to court records, Hall was one of three suspects involved in the October 18, 2024, incident. Investigators say the group intentionally jammed the ATM and waited more than four hours for a technician to respond. When the technician arrived to service the machine, Hall and the others allegedly assaulted him, then stole the cash from the ATM.

Authorities say Hall later posted photos of himself with the stolen money on social media — evidence that ultimately helped prosecutors build their case.

Hall entered an open plea to grand theft last month, just days before his trial was scheduled to begin.

In addition to the Florida case, Hall also has outstanding warrants for similar ATM robberies in Wisconsin and Texas. He was arrested in March in connection with those investigations.
