HOUSTON COUNTY: Houston County Sheriff Department had a vehicle pursuit. The chase began at Ross Clark Circle and Wesley Way. Dothan Police was notified and assisted and was cutting intersections.
The chase is of a motorcycle.
The chase traveled on Ross Clark Circle and turned south on Highway 231 South at speeds of 100 miles per hour.
10:42 PM The chase was passing Festival Drive, still southbound on Highway 231, at speeds of 130 miles per hour. Traffic on Highway 231, southbound was reported light. Deputies in pursuit requested to notify Jackson County Sheriff Department and Florida Highway Patrol. The helicopter was not airborne at this time.
10:43 PM The chase passed Coskrey Road, passing on the right lane, speeds of 100 miles per hour.
10:44 PM The chase was approaching Highway 109 and 231, has a green light. Speeds were slowing down to 60 miles per hour.
10:45 PM The vehicle turned left off Highway 231 onto Eddins Road.
10:45 PM Approaching Iris Road, Turned right on Iris Road, then left onto Eugene West Road.
10:46 PM The motorcycle wrecked out and suspect taken into custody. Rehobeth Fire – Rescue and Hidgesville Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched. Condition unknown.

Hall of Fame Legacy: Already a 2019 Troy Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, she now takes her rightful place among the greatest to ever play in the Wiregrass.

Traffic signals to be removed around courthouse in Abbeville
ABBEVILLE, Ala. – As part of an ongoing Henry County project around the Henry County courthouse in Abbeville, some intersections with traffic signals will be modified to stop signs.
The following intersections will be modified:
1. Washington Street (SR-10) and Kirkland Street will be modified to an all-way stop.
2. Williams Street and Kirkland Street will be modified to an all-way stop.
3. Washington Street (SR-10) and Doswell Street will be modified to a side street stop where Doswell Street will have to stop but Washington Street (SR-10) will have the right-of-way.
The traffic signals will be put into a flashing mode and stop signs will be installed beginning Monday, July 6. On Monday, July 13, crews will begin removing the signals.
All work is weather dependent and could be delayed.
Drivers should expect delays, plan accordingly, and be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.
HOUSTON COUNTY: 2:07 PM Multiple Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigators swarmed into the Houston County Jail parking lot this afternoon.
UNCONFIRMED information is a male subject came into the Houston County Jail to register either as a convicted felon or register due to a sexual offender offense.
As the Corrections Staff began processing the person was found to be wanted in another jurisdiction for a major crime. UNCONFIRMED information the charge was murder in another jurisdiction. Again, the exact charges are unconfirmed.
