7:21 PM. Dothan Man Killed In Washington County Florida Accident
WASHINGTON COUNTY FL: Washington County Sheriff 911 and Florida Highway Patrol 911 dispatched a motor vehicle accident reported to have involved a semi.
The accident was reported on Highway 79. Reports from Florida Highway Patrol, two men were traveling north on State Road 79 in a tractor trailer when it veered off the roadway.
Florida Highway Patrol reports after the vehicle left the roadway, it continued traveling north east before colliding with a culvert, and then traveling into the roadway line before colliding with a tree. After impact, the tree uprooted and landed on the vehicle.
The passenger was killed, and the 27 year old driver was critically injured.
Floridia Highway Patrol ( FHP ) continues the investigation.
Washington County Sheriff Deputies, EMS and Fire from Washington County responded.
No names have been released at this time.
6:36 PM. Chase From Highway 84 East To Main and Oates – Dothan
HOUSTON COUNTY – DOTHAN: 6:29 PM. ALEA – Trooper announced in pursuit of a vehicle that was traveling west on Highway 84 East of Dothan.
6:30. PM. Chase at estimated speeds of 100 miles an hour passing Beverly Road, still west bound on Highway 84 East.
6:32 PM. Passing East Main and Ross Clark Circle, has green light and traveling west on Main Street inside Ross Clark Circle.
6:31 PM Passing his future home, 901 East Main Street, Houston County Jail. They are keeping the light on for him to return !!!
6:31 PM Coming over the bridge on six lane of East Main. At some point suspect suspect crossed over and was traveling west in the east bound lane of traffic.
6:32 PM Subject was approaching Main at Ussery approaching Main and Museum.
6:32 PM Subject went through traffic lights at S. Saint Andrew’s Street, running traffic light.
6:32 PM Subject went through traffic lights at Foster Street, lost a tire and struck a vehicle at Main and Oates Street. Suspect bailed from his wrecked vehicle on foot.
Combined law enforcement of ALEA – Trooper, Houston County Sheriff Department and Dothan Police bailed on foot, chased suspect down and took into custody. The on call Alabama Department of Human Resources was called.
Officers still at Main and Oates investigating suspect and why he ran, but suspect in custody and will be traveling to 901 East Main Street, Houston County Jail on several felonies.
07:59 AM Goodyear Wrecker Lost One
FLORIDA: Along I-10 in Florida Goodyear Towing was reported to be pulling a semi truck and trailer for Amazon.
Goodyear lost the semi and it overturned on I-10.
Florida Highway Patrol had a another wrecker from another company repond and clean up the wreckage. Your Amazon packages will be late.
07:56 AM South State Highway 123 from Hwy. 231 to County 18
DALE COUNTY: 05:15 AM Ozark – Dale County 911 dispatched a overturned semi on South State Highway 123 near Dale County Road 402. The accident was dispatched with injuries. It is unknown the extent of injuries.
Ozark – Dale County 911 has reported that South State Highway 123 from Highway 231 intersection to Dale County Road 18 is closed due to an overturned semi.
As of this writing it is unknown how long the roadway will be closed.
