DOTHAN: Hi, I am Jason Falls, and I am running for the Dothan City Board of Education District 3 seat. I am a husband and father of two girls. I have lived in the Wiregrass area for 20 years and in the city of Dothan for 11 years. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Alabama, and I am currently working towards my Master’s of Education degree at UWA. I am a former Dothan City Schools employee, and I have a child in Dothan City Schools. I began my employment in 2019 when Dothan High School and Northview High School were combined, and then Covid hit, so I was able to experience a lot of change in a short period of time. I worked with many great teachers and staff throughout my time at DCS and still call many my friend. Dothan City Schools has some fine people working in the system, and the teachers and staff need to be supported by a cohesive school board and led by a superintendent who cares about each student, teacher, and stakeholder. Dothan City Schools are good, but they can be great. We as a school system need healing, and we need to speak positive about Dothan City Schools. We should be in the schools offering help to teachers and principals and encourage more parents to be involved with our schools. We also need to invite more churches to adopt a school until each school has been adopted. Together we can make this happen. Please vote Jason Falls for Dothan City Schools District 3 on August 5, 2025.

They explained the 2026 election dates of county and state officials was moved because of Memorial Day weekend. It will be held earlier in May 2026. The reason given the election was May 26, which is the Tuesday following Memorial Day. Some people are out of town. The Probate Officials have to set up the machines before election day and this change will better serve the registered voters.
GENEVA – DALE COUNTY AL: Based on intelligence information obtained by Dale County Sheriff Task Force a combined law enforcement force executed a search warrant in Geneva County.
Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum, Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms, ALEA – SBI, and FBI Agents executed a search warrant on a Geneva County residence. The combined law enforcement officers were assisted by Dale County SRT Unit and WASP ( Wiregrass Aviation Support Program ) flew overhead as officers executed the search warrant.
The intelligence information obtained by Dale County Sheriff Task Force was for cyber crimes. The search warrant resulted in an arrest. At this time RSN does not have the name of the individual taken into custody.
The search warrant executed is an example of law enforcement joining hands together to make the community safer. Criminal activity has no geographical boundries. When intelligence leads then law enforcement has no boundries. The combined law enforcement search warrant is just one example of the committment law enforcement has to weeding out those who seek to committ unlawful acts with those underage.
Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum assembled a team to focus on illegal acts with those underage. The team will seek out those who have immoral desires and leave no stone unturned.
