HOUSTON COUNTY: On July 4th Iris Yaneli Flores Garcia, age 21, was arresteed and placed in Houston County Jail for Retail Theft in the third degree. Retail Theft in the third degree is normally shoplifting.
Garcia was placed in jail on a $ 300 bond. The bond was made, however, she was not released from Houston County Jail. The INS placed a hold on her.
This morning, July 7, at 5:02 AM Garcia was released to the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service, commonly referred to as INS.
The Immigration and Naturalization Service (a former U.S. government agency). The INS, which was replaced in 2003, handled immigration matters.

The INS was a U.S. government agency responsible for immigration and naturalization from 1933 to 2003.
It was initially part of the Department of Labor and later moved to the Department of Justice.
In 2003, the INS was dissolved and its functions were divided among US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and US Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
USCIS handles immigration services, ICE focuses on enforcement and removal, and CBP is responsible for border security.
The deportation is real. And this is one example where a 21 year old undocumented immigrant, who apparently shoplifted, is now on her way to whereabouts unknown to sit in a jail cell awaiting deportation. So when we read all of the stories, believe them, because deportation is real.
DOTHAN – HOUSTON COUNTY: 8:13 PM SUNDAY Dothan 911 dispatched a “person down” call in the 900 block of North Bell Street in Dothan on Sunday night. The reports to Dothan 911 were a unknown male on the ground, unknown if breathing.
Dothan Police, Dothan Fire and Piulcher Ambulance responded to the scene. The male subject was deceased.
Houston County Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene. There was no evidene of foul play. The body has been transported to Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for examination.

9:16 PM SUNDAY EVENING Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance while Houston County 911 dispatched Houston County Sheriff Deputies to the Houston County Jail, 901 East Main Street on Sunday evening. At time of dispatch reports were patient unresponsive but breathing. The patient was a inmate at the Houston County Jail.
On arrival of Dothan Fire it was determined the inmate was deceased. The Houston County Coroner’s Office responded to the jail. In fact, two death calls at the same time.
Houston County Sheriff Department Criminal Investigation Division Captain and Sheriff Investigator along with Major Bill Rafferty responded to the jail. There are nmo signs of foul play and the inmate is reported to have medical history.
The body has been transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for examination.

DOTHAN: 08:58 AM Dothan 911 dispatched a structure fire in the 900 block of Dogwood Trail. At the time of dispatch the reports were spark from the pool motor.
On the arrival of the first Dothan Fire Engine Company it was confirmed it was the pool motor. All incoming fire engine companies were cancelled and the primary engine company advised they could handle. The power was isolated amd all responding engines and Pilcher Ambulance was cancelled.
Kyle Scott wrote a post below, accusing district three commissioner Bradley Bedwell of stealing his yard signs and placing his signs in their place. But Bradley had permission from the property owner, to place his signs on that property. In fact his property manager Sam wrote on the post that Bradley was in the right and that Scott did not have any signs there this morning, when he drove by on his way to James Oates Park. Could have been a simple owner tenant misunderstanding, but it is not. As you can see by the screenshot of Kyle’s post at 1007 pm, Scott deleted Sam’s message after learning the truth, just to slander Bedwell’s character. People you better get out and vote August 5th, this proves this man doesn’t care about the truth or telling lies to get in that commission chair. Messages are time stamped, so how are you going to make this Bedwell’s fault, like you do with all of your other shortcomings Scott.
HOUSTON COUNTY: 09:54 AM. Houston County 911 dispatched Webb Volunteer Fire, Webb Police, Houston County Sheriff Deputies and Columbia Rescue to a wreck with injuries.
The location was East State Highway 52 and Enon Road.
A two vehicle accident with minor injuries.
BAY SPRINGS – 10:35 AM. Houston County 911 dispatched Bay Springs Volunteer Fire, Wicksburg Rescue and Houston County Sheriff Deputies to Highway 84 West at Bay Springs. This was an automatic IPHONE Crash detection. There was no one on the phone but the 911 center could hear vehicles. Emergency units responded to the area where the phone plotted the location. The emergency units were unable to locate any accident.
WEBB – 10:41 AM. Houston County 911 dispatched Webb Volunteer Fire, Columbia Rescue, Houston County Sheriff Deputies, and ALEA – Troopers to a single vehicle accident.
The location was the 4500 block of County Road 22.
Houston County Sheriff Sgt. Nowell reported one person with complaints of lower body pain.
Emergency units were on the scene within 2 minutes of the 911 call being dispatched.
DOTHAN: 6:37 PM. Dothan 911 dispatched a structure fire in the 200 block of Headland Avenue. At time of 911 call it was reported smoke and flames visible.
Multiple Dothan Police, Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance responded.
On arrival of first fire engines this was a working structure fire. It was immediate apparent house to far gone for an offensive attack. The fireman was in defensive mode but an offensive mode on structures next door.
Dothan Fire conducted two searches attempting to make sure no one was inside.
