Obituary from Holman Funeral Home of Ozark – Ozark, Alabama
Mrs. Jackie Lynn McElvaine Manning, known to everyone who loved her simply as Lynn, left this world the way she lived in it: on her own terms, surrounded by family. She was 60 years young when she passed away at her home in Daleville, Alabama, on the morning of Tuesday, November 18, 2025. A celebration of Lynn’s big, beautiful, Auburn-loving life will be held in the coming weeks; the family will announce details when ready. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at www.HolmanFuneralHome.com
Born July 27, 1965, in Alexandria, Virginia, Lynn was a hardworking, big-hearted, unbreakable woman whose love for people was as loud and fearless as a packed house at Jordan-Hare on a Saturday in the fall. She was the devoted wife of 15 years to Jeffrey Lance Manning, daughter of Jack McElvaine and Linda Keen, Mother to Jennifer Walker and Richard Culligan, and proudest Grammy to nine grandchildren. Raised in Beauregard, Alabama, Lynn spent 22 hard-working years at the Uniroyal Tire Plant, where she built tires by day and lifelong friendships by break time. After the plant closed, she brought her contagious laugh and no-nonsense hospitality to the Village Inn Bar in Daleville for a decade, treating every regular like family and every newcomer like an old friend who just hadn’t realized it yet. If you spent more than thirty seconds with Lynn, you knew two things for certain: she fiercely loved her people, and she bled Auburn orange and blue. She didn’t just watch Tiger football — she lived it, breathed it, and cheerfully educated anyone within earshot. Weagle, Weagle, War Eagle, forever. Lynn was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary and Jerold McElvaine. She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Manning; her children, Richard Culligan, Jennifer Walker (David), and Brittany Jackson (Scott); her father, Jack McElvaine; her mother, Linda Keen; those nine incredible grandchildren: Kadyn, Averly, Emdyn, Gracye, Collin, Bella, Owen, Everleigh, and Anzlee; and her brother, Eric McElvaine (Heather) — plus a small army of friends who were as close as family. In lieu of flowers, Lynn would want you to raise a little cain in her honor and then donate to Susan G. Komen or the National Breast Cancer Foundation — because even in her final request, she was still telling us exactly what to do. War Eagle, Lynn. We’ll keep the porch light on and the volume loud until we see you again.

Billy C. Williams, a cherished family man, respected veteran, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama. Born on September 24, 1956, Billy’s life was one marked by dedication, love, and a touch of delightful stubbornness that those close to him knew all too well.
Billy grew up in the close-knit community of Troy and carried with him the values of hard work and integrity throughout his life. He proudly graduated from Goshen High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and laid the foundations of his future. After high school, he honorably served in the Air Force for four years, a period of service that instilled in him a sense of pride and patriotism that he carried throughout his life.
Upon returning to civilian life, Billy embarked on a fulfilling career at Sony, where he dedicated 30 years. His commitment to excellence and his straightforward, direct approach earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Billy’s work ethic was unparalleled, and he was known for his ability to solve problems with grace and efficiency.
Billy’s heart was always at home with his loving wife of 40 years, Teresa Williams. He leaves behind a beautiful family, including his children Ricco Swanson (April), Marco Swanson (Yuridia Tejada), Brandon Williams (Ophelia), and McKayla Williams. He was a doting grandfather to nine grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and laughter into his life.
Family was the cornerstone of Billy’s world. He was the beloved brother of Louise Davenport (J.W.), Shirley Youngblood (Roy), Coretta Sears, and Lucile Foster. His sisters-in-law, Wanda Davis, Pamela Long (Marcos), Janice Jones, and Mia Ward, deserve special thanks for their unwavering support and care for Billy in his later years. He leaves behind two special uncles, Henry and Robert Williams, and his mother-in-law, Lorine Ward. Billy’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and the joy of a life well-lived. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his family, including his many nieces, nephews, and family friends, James Carol and Aaron Berry. He was predeceased by his devoted parents, Willie C. Williams and Voncile Williams, who instilled in him the virtues of kindness and compassion.
Billy’s interests were as vibrant and varied as his personality. An avid lover of Bingo and the excitement of casinos, he also found peace and contentment in simpler pleasures. He was often found outside on his porch, soaking in the tranquility of nature, or tending to his vegetable garden. His grilling skills were legendary, and he relished the opportunity to share his culinary creations with family and friends. Fishing was more than a hobby for Billy; it was a chance to connect with the outdoors and to share quiet moments with those he loved.
A celebration of Billy’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Wilbert Dawsey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Billy will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park following military honors.
