DOTHAN. . .Dianne Tindell Windham, a resident of Dothan, died Wednesday night, June 25, 2025, at her home. She was 75.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan, with Pastor Mark Harrelson officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a GoFundMe account in the name of Robert Earl Windham.

Dianne Windham was born in Hillsborough, Florida, daughter of the late Adrian Tindell and Frances Scarpitta Tindell. She was raised in Rehobeth and lived in Dothan most of her adult lifetime. Dianne was retired from Southside K-Mart as a Department Head. In earlier years, she was employed by Sony Corporation and Ansell, Inc. both in Dothan.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Robert Earl Windham; daughters, Regina Adams (Daniel), Hartford; and Robyn Deacon (Jason), Spanish Fort, AL; grandchildren, Mitch Adams, Emma Deacon and Sophie Deacon; a sister-in-law, Shirley Whitehead.

Janice C. Danford, a beacon of kindness and gentleness, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, in Hartford, Alabama. Born on February 28, 1945, in Houston County, Alabama, Janice’s life was a testament to the power of quiet strength and unwavering positivity.

Janice, fondly known as the sweet and smiling presence in any room, attended school in Columbia where she laid the foundations of a life marked by dedication and hard work. She carried these values into her career, contributing tirelessly to the teams at Sunnyland and Purdue Farms. Her work ethic and the respect she garnered from her colleagues were only matched by her kindness and thoughtfulness.

In her personal life, Janice’s heart was devoted to her family. She was a loving wife to her late husband, Lester Danford, and a cherished mother to her sons, Terry Lynn Danford and Michael Wren Danford, along with his wife Cindy. Janice’s sisterly love remained a constant source of comfort and joy for her sisters, Joyce Brunson and Marion Jackson, as well as for the numerous nieces and nephews who looked up to her. Her family was her stronghold, and she nurtured these relationships with the same care and attention that she gave to all aspects of her life.

Janice’s gentle spirit was deeply rooted in her faith, as a devout member of the Crossroads Baptist Church. She lived her beliefs through her actions, embodying the compassion and grace that she held so dear. Her faith was a guiding light, not only for her but for all who were blessed to know her.

Known for her love of simple pleasures, Janice had an affectionate attachment to her purse, which was always by her side, just as her smile never left her face. This small quirk was a reminder of the care she took in all things, and how she cherished the everyday moments that knit the tapestry of a well-lived life.

Janice’s life was one of unwavering love and selfless service. Her presence was a soothing balm, and her absence will be deeply felt by all. She was a woman who exemplified thoughtfulness, kindness, and gentleness. These words, while simple, capture the essence of a life lived with purpose and grace.

Though Janice’s journey on earth has ended, her legacy of love and kindness endures. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Danford, by her parents, Odell and Ossie Lee Jackson Cook, by her brothers, Leo Cook, Foy Cook, Talmadge Cook, and Bay Cook, and by her sisters, Toye Hughes, Myrle Shirley, and Annette Layton. Their reunion in eternal peace is a comforting thought to all who mourn Janice’s passing.

As we say goodbye to Janice C. Danford, we celebrate a life that was a true embodiment of goodness. Her memory will be cherished, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to have felt the warmth of her smile and the depth of her kindness. Janice’s life was a gentle whisper of love that echoed loudly in the hearts of those who knew her.

Dianne Dunn O’Connell, a resident of Eufaula, Alabama passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025. She was 77 years old.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayton, Alabama with Rev. Shane Traylor officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. A visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Glover Funeral Home in Eufaula. Flowers will be accepted.

Dianne was born on October 22, 1947, in Eufaula, Alabama to the late John Frank and Ocie Marion Greathouse Dunn. She loved her family, Atlanta Braves baseball, horse racing, and her beloved yorkies. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

OZARK…Mr. Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Boatwright, a resident of Ozark, died early Wednesday afternoon, June 25, 2025, in Dale Medical Center. He was 73.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 30, 2025, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with his nephew, Nic Boatwright officiating. Burial will follow in Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Boatwright was born on May 2, 1952, in the city of Gadsden, Alabama—a place that shaped much of his early life and gave him the foundation to grow into the man so many came to know and love. In 1980, he made the move to Ozark, where he built not just a home, but a life filled with purpose, hard work, and deep-rooted love for his family and community.

He graduated from Gadsden High School in 1970, proudly walking across that stage with a bright future ahead. Never one to shy away from learning or putting in the effort, he went on to earn a degree in Electronics from Wallace College. That education opened the doors to a long and steady career where he applied his skills with dedication and pride. Mr. Boatwright worked for many years at Acousti Engineering Company in Dothan as a Construction Superintendent, a job that matched his strong work ethic and natural ability to lead. He was known on the job site for being fair, steady, and someone others could always count on.

But beyond his work, what truly mattered most to him was his family. He was a proud and loving husband, father, and grandfather whose face lit up the moment he saw one of his grandkids run into the room. Whether he was quietly enjoying time at the lake with a fishing pole in hand or cheering on his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide, you could always count on him to be fully present in the moment—grateful for the simple pleasures and the people he shared them with.

Mr. Boatwright had a way of making those around him feel seen and valued. His gentle wisdom, kind heart, and quiet strength left a lasting imprint on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Simmons Boatwright Johnson and Ben Johnson. Though they left this world before him, their love and the values they instilled in him remained a guiding force in his life.

Surviving relatives include his wife of forty-four years, Shirley Smith Boatwright, Ozark; Sandy Renee Faulk (Rebecca), Ozark; son, Keith Robinette Faulk, Enterprise; sister, Debbie Sasser (Harvey), Ozark; brother, Dennis Boatwright (Lisa), Ozark; four grandchildren, Chris Watson (Ashley), Keith Watson, Cody Faulk (Amber), and Kyle Faulk; six great-grandchildren, Emilie Watson, Adelyn Watson, Brandon Watson, Jaylynn Faulk, Grayson Faulk, and Lacey Faulk; relatives from the Smith Family, sisters-in-law, Anne Heath and Debbie German, Memphis, Tennessee; brothers-in-law, Larry Smith (Ella), Jerry Allen Smith, all of Phenix City, and Billy Smith, Skipperville; nieces, nephews, Evan Murray, Cameron Sasser (Robin), T.J. Theresa Allison, a beacon of love and joy, left this world on June 25, 2025, at the age of 65, in Dothan, Alabama. Born on February 6, 1960, in Blakely, Georgia, to Charlene Stewart and the late D’Arsey Stewart Sr., Theresa’s life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family and the laughter she spread effortlessly.

The cherished wife of the late Phillip Allison, Therssa’s legacy is carried on through her loving children: sons Nick Westbrook (Brooke) and Steven Westbrook (Kaitlin), daughter Brittney Nolan, and stepdaughter Kareth Sims (Josh). Her joy was multiplied with the arrival of each grandchild: Laney Grace Westbrook, Hallie Westbrook, Scarlett Westbrook, Easton King, Wilkes Nolan, John Sims, Rena Sims, and Cameron Nolan, each of whom brought immense happiness into her life.

Theresa’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her family. She operated a home daycare, where she devoted herself to the care and education of children, guiding them with the same love and attention she gave her own. Her mother, Charlene Stewart, along with her siblings, D’Arsey Stewart Jr., Randy Stewart, and Wendy Smalley, will remember her as a sister who brightened every family gathering with her presence. She was preceded in death by her loving sister, Elaine Engram.

A woman of many talents, Theresa was known for her exceptional southern cooking, which was just one of the ways she expressed her love. Her recipes and meals will long be cherished by her family and friends. Theresa’s heart was most content when surrounded by her loved ones, and she was often described as the life of the party, bringing warmth and humor wherever she went.

Her commitment to her family was unwavering and she often enjoyed the simple family gatherings. Theresa’s love knew no bounds.

Theresa Allison’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of devotion, laughter, and love. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her, reminding them of the joy that can be found in the simple act of caring for one another. Her spirit, as loving as it was indomitable, will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and the many lives she touched. Theresa Allison will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will continue to shine brightly, guiding her loved ones through the years to come.

A celebration of Theresa’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Theresa will be laid to rest in White Chapel Memorial Garden Cemetery in Duluth, GA on Saturday, June 28th at 11am EST.

Donna Faye Love, aged 63, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, in Dothan, AL, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 20, 1962, in Geneva, AL, Donna was a beacon of kindness and warmth throughout her life.

Donna’s life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her family and her community. She shared 42 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Roger Love, and together they raised two sons, Damon Love (Courtney) and Ryan Love, who were her pride and joy. Donna was the cherished daughter of Faye Bradley and the late Donald Bradley, and she held a special bond with her mother and her mother in law who precedes her in death, Onita Watkins, which was a testament to their family’s closeness.

Her life was enriched by the arrival of her adored grandchildren, Jazlyn Hyatt, Grant Love, Anzley McInnis, Ryles Love, Kruize Love, Izabelle Love, and Kate Brogden, who lovingly knew her as “Nonnie.” She also maintained a lasting friendship with her ex-daughter-in-law and friend, Casey Tillery. The tendrils of her love reached beyond the confines of her family to her lifelong friends, Tammy Watkins and Cindy Jordan, with whom she shared countless cherished memories.

For many years, Donna was a familiar and caring presence in the lives of the children she transported as a school bus driver for Ashford schools. She approached her work with a sense of dedication and joy, knowing that every day was an opportunity to make a positive impact on the young lives she encountered.

Donna was a woman who loved fiercely, especially when it came to her family. Her feisty spirit was matched only by her capacity for kindness, and she touched many lives with her generosity and compassion. Donna was the embodiment of the phrase “always showed up,” whether for a significant milestone or a simple family gathering. Her love for the beach was a testament to her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and her ability to find joy in the moment.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Donna will remember her as a loving and kind soul. She was a woman who lived her values and whose actions spoke of her profound love for those around her. Donna’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the countless lives she touched. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will forever be a guiding light for her family and friends.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Watkins Barn, 1220 Main Street, Ashford, AL 36312 from 3pm until 5pm where family and friends will share their favorite memories of Donna.
