Elizabeth was born on April 7, 1993, in Enterprise, Alabama.
Beth passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love on December 11, 2024 after a courageous 6.5-year battle with brain cancer. She was 31 years old.
Beth IS the beloved wife of Alan Ray Carroll and the devoted mother of Colton Michael Carroll, both of whom she adores with all her heart.
She and Alan made their home in Calera, Alabama, where they were active members of First Baptist Church of Pelham.
Beth is survived by her parents, Michael Lolley (Edna) and Kathryn Butler (Robert); her older sister, Michelle Lolley Green (Brian); her step-sisters, Hannah Grace Dykes and Martha Elizabeth Jones (Caleb); her cherished niece and nephews – Karsyn, Lennon, Brance, Luke, and Jackson; and her 2 beloved dogs – Houston and Waco. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, and cousins who were an integral part of her life. She is a loving daughter-in-law to Paige and Jeff Carroll, and a sister-in-law to Mallory Brown (Russell). Beth also leaves behind her paternal grandmother, Mavis Bynum Lolley, and her grandmother-in-law, Jo Huddleston.
Beth’s life was defined by her love for Christ, her family, her friends, and her deep commitment to serving others. She had a heart for people and was always eager to lend a hand, whether through her work as a physical therapy assistant, volunteering, or simply by showing up for those she loved. As a mother, she was unwavering in her devotion to Colton, especially after he was born at just 23 weeks gestation. Beth used her skills and knowledge to help her son thrive and gave him the best chance at a full, beautiful life. She did just that.
Beth lived life fully. She loved to dance and spread joy. She had an infectious spirit that drew people to her. Beth was a proud Auburn University alumna, whose love for her alma mater and passion for Auburn football were central to her spirit. A spirit that was not afraid.
Beth met Alan in high school, and they formed an inseparable bond immediately. The love she and Alan shared was grounded in their shared faith, their deep commitment to one another, and a bond that only grew stronger through the years. Together, they created a life filled with love and joy, even during the really hard times.
In June 2018, Beth was given just 12-18 months to live after being diagnosed with Grade IV Glioblastoma, but God had bigger plans for her. With remarkable strength and grace, Beth defied the odds and lived an incredible 6.5 more years, filling each moment with love, faith, and courage. Even in the face of her illness, she showed up each day with joy and resilience, determined to be there for her family, especially Alan and Colton. Her battle was not just against cancer—it was a testament to her unwavering faith and the love she had for those around her.
Beth’s life was a beautiful reflection of the love and light she brought into the world. She was a bright light in the lives of everyone she touched.
Her legacy of faith, joy, and unwavering love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a loyal supporter of the friends and family who made her life rich with meaning.
Beth’s spirit will live on in the hearts of her husband, son, family, friends, and all who were touched by her remarkable strength and love. She is now at peace, in the arms of her Savior, and her light will forever shine in the memories of those who loved her.
