Charlie “Charles” Clifton Jordan, age 84, a lifelong Dothan resident went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18th.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kyle Gatlin and John Baxter officiating. A private graveside will be held at Gardens of Memory cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 10:45am at the funeral home prior to services on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, 1007 South Bell Street, Dothan, Alabama 36301 or Dothan South Camp Gideons International, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.

Charles was born on August 30, 1941, in Houston County, Alabama to the late Henry Washington and Vera Othell (Hobbs) Jordan. He graduated from Ashford High School. He served in the US Army and afterward was a lifetime employee of GTE in Dothan. He was a member of Covenant Methodist Church.

Charles enjoyed serving people. Post retirement, he was involved in ministry and community, including many mission trips to Kirov Russia. He served as board member of the Salvation Army, volleyball coach at Northside Methodist Academy, lifetime member of Dothan South Camp Gideons International, and various church duties and missions.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Bruner.

Charles is survived by his wife, Sarah Doris (Bryant) Jordan; two sons, Bart Jordan (Larunda) and Brad Jordan (Brooke); grandchildren, Houston (Kristen), Madison, Mackenzie, Blakely, and Pace.
