NEWTON. . .Donna Fay Hall Stanford, a resident of Newton, passed away Friday morning, January 16, 2026. She was 67.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 18, 2026, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Brother Ricky Jenkins and Pastor Andy Wood officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary in Headland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vivian B. Adams School, 2047 Stuart Tarter Road, Ozark, AL36360.

Fay was born in Dothan and lived all her life in Midland City and Newton. She was the daughter of George Howard Hall and Louise Reeder Hall both of Newton.  Fay was a 1977 graduate of Dale County High School and was a majorette and played the drums in the high school band. She was medically retired from TRW Globe Motors. Fay was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was an avid University of Alabama Football and Atlanta Braves baseball fan. Fay was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Quenton and Nora Benton Stanford, sisters in law, Brenda Stanford and Delaine Blocker Stanford, and a brother-in-law, Greg Gerber.

Surviving relatives in addition to her parents is her husband, Mark Stanford; a daughter, Nicole Stanford Grider (Andrew), Rapid City, SD; sisters, Georgia Givens (Larry), Dothan; her twin sister, Kay Gerber, Midland City; and Tina Hall and Geena Walsh, both of Newton; grandchildren, Gavin Grider and Gracie Grider; brothers-in-law, Ted Stanford and Dean Stanford (Brenda); several nieces and nephews.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Dale County High School Class of 1977.
