ABBEVILLE. . .Larry Thomas “Slick” Nolan, Sr., a resident of Abbeville, passed away late Sunday morning, November 30, 2025, in a Dothan hospital. He was 79.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 13, 2025, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Jeff Money officiating and a eulogy to be given by Aaron Dansby. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the memorial services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Fellowship, P.O. Box 611, Abbeville, AL 36310.

Larry Nolan was a lifelong resident of Abbeville. He served his country in the Army National Guard in the Abbeville unit. Larry was affiliated with Freedom Fellowship in Abbeville. He was retired from Bennett’s NAPA Auto Parts in Abbeville where he formerly served as Store Manager and was employed for over sixty-three years. He continued to work at the store two to three days a week until his health failed him about three months ago. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Heflin Nolan, his mother, Doris Barron Nolan Whitehead and his step-father, Darwin Whitehead.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Mary Jane Blankenship Nolan; a daughter, Dell Nolan Money (Jeff), Headland; a son, Tommy Nolan (Vickie), Parrish, AL; a sister, Sheila Blankenship, Headland; grandchildren, Allison Marcus (Tyler), Hayden Nolan, Jamie Money and Julia Money; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Marcus and Oakleigh Marcus.
