HEADLAND…Steven Craig Register…a resident of Headland, passed away Monday, June 15, 2026. He was 69.

Mr. Steve Register, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Geneva, Alabama, Steve was the son of the late Richard Register and Francis Killingsworth Register. He graduated from Headland High School and carried throughout his life the values of hard work, dedication, and loyalty that would become his hallmark.

Steve spent many years working in sales and delivery with Adams Beverage, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly personality. While he enjoyed his professional career, his favorite occupation was one he created for himself—as the proud owner and operator of Register Farms in the virtual world of FarmVille. What began as a pastime became a true passion. Through determination and countless hours of work, he built a thriving farm spanning hundreds of acres of crops and acquired a beautiful plantation home for his virtual family. He took great pride in his accomplishments and approached the game with the same dedication and perseverance that he brought to every aspect of his life.

An avid fan of Alabama football, Steve rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the Crimson Tide. Whether celebrating a victory or discussing the latest game, his enthusiasm for Alabama football was well known by family and friends alike.

Above all else, Steve’s greatest joy was his family. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the center of his world. His kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love created cherished memories that will be treasured for generations.

Steve leaves behind a legacy of devotion, hard work, and love. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in the many memories they shared and in knowing that his influence will continue to live on in the lives of those he loved most.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Logan Bennett.
