Tammi Lee Smith, age 62, of Slocomb left this Earth and entered into Heaven on Monday, February 23, 2026 at her home, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.
Tammi was born on December 13, 1963, in Hartford to the late Tillman Waters and Virginia Beard. In 1969, she moved with her family to Dothan. She was a 1982 graduate of Dothan High School and worked in various positions within the banking and accounting industries. For the past 10 years, she owned and operated her own cleaning business, providing services for both residential and commercial properties. Her clientele valued her greatly and appreciated the exceptional attention to detail she brought to every job.
Tammi enjoyed spending time at the beach, going crabbing, and tending to her garden. She cherished time spent with family and friends and will be remembered for her love of the outdoors and her caring spirit.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two children, Danielle Nicole Monfort and Kevin Blake Kelly.
She is survived by her siblings, Terri Poellot (Brian) and Steve Waters (Brandee); her nieces, Emily Lanton (Holden) and Madelyn Waters; step-children: Hemi Gammons, Montanna Gammons and Mason Gammons; as well as extended family members and many dear friends.
Tammi will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
