DOTHAN: 1:48 PM Multiple Dothan Police Patrol Officers and Criminal Investigators raced into the parking of the Dothan Police docket room, to a gray Dodge Charger in the parking lot.
THE BEST WE HAVE AT THIS TIME: a male and female got into an argument on Westgate Parkway. The male subject forced the female from the vehicle and left her. In the backseat was a one year child, as we understand. Dothan Police Patrol resonded to the female who called 911 and reported the initial kidnapping.
Within a short time, the car arrived at the docket room of the Dothan Police Department, the car abandoned and the child in the car seat in the back seat. There was no suspect present. How Dothan Police got notification the car was in the docket room parking lot, RSN does not know at this time.
The officers hurried to check the child. There was a female on the scene who is believed to be the mother. Later, she was seen holding a child.
Dothan Police is investigating. The relationship of the male to the child is unknown. Dothan Police Patrol Division and Dothan Police Criminal Investigators are sorting out the details at this time. The facts are subject to change.
