Dothan citizens can drop off real trees at Dothan Utilities from now until January 31st.
The location will be behind the kiosk at the Honeysuckle Road entrance. There will be a banner behind the kiosk to mark the drop-off point, and trees should be placed under this banner.
Make sure all decorations, ribbon, and tinsel are removed from the trees before dropping off.

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee expects a marginal risk of severe weather Saturday with a line of thunderstorms ahead of a cold front.
Some storms could be strong to severe with damaging winds being the main concern, while a few tornadoes and hail are possible.
There is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for severe weather for areas west of a line from near Albany, GA to Apalachicola for Saturday into Saturday night (before Sunday morning at 7am EST/6am CST). It’s worth pointing out that the Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) is very close and could be expanded east depending on how the situation evolves over the next 24 to 36 hours. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected late Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening well ahead of a cold front. One or two of these storms could be on the strong to severe side with damaging winds the primary concern along with the possibility of a tornado or some hail.
For Sunday (after 7am EST/6am CST), there is also a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for severe weather for all of our area as the cold front crawls through the region. Again, it’s worth pointing out that the Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) does include far northern Ben Hill county and may be expanded south depending on how the system ultimately evolves. Damaging wind gusts are the primary concern as the cold front moves through, but a few tornadoes are also possible along with some hail.

UPDATED @ 6:42 AM.
Dale County Coroner John Cawley has identified the deceased as 73 year old Willie Earl Jones. The body will be transported to Montgomery for a post mortem examination by Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
SPECIAL NOTE: This call happened at 8:34 PM. WTVY (Ken Curtis – Henderson) at about 8:51 PM posted on Facebook “ #BREAKING Pedestrian killed near Ozark, per reports.” RSN knew this was a fatality when we posted the article. However, RSN lists these matters as Critical until we can confirm family has been notified. As one who has, and currently at times still has to, notify families of deaths of their loved ones, I attempt to hold that it is a fatality until family has been notified. If you have ever had to make those notifications it will forever stick with you. There is no easy way to make the notification or ease the pain in the message you are about to deliver. Having been Coroner at 22 years old and making the notifications, it will forever rest in your mind.
That is the reason RSN holds it is critical until we know family is notified. RSN has made mistakes over the years, but learned from those mistakes. It is not about being first with the news, it is about caring for people.
