DOTHAN: Tonight at the regular school board meeting School Board Members, Brett Strickland, Melanie Hill, Franklin Jones and Brenda Guilford voted to hire Athens Georgia DR. GARRICK ASKEW as Dothan School Superintendent.
A 4 to 3 vote with Chairman Scott Childers, Aurie Jenkins, Amy Bonds voting against.
Ladies and Gentleman, here is what the 4, Strickland, Hill, Jones, and Guilford is doing … the new Superintendent will get a salary of at least $ 225,000.00 a year with a four year buyout clause. This means YOU, the citizens of Dothan Alabama will have to pay this Athens Georgia man around $ 900,000.00 to get out of this contract.
Understand, 50% of these four members, Strickland and Hill, are not seeking re-election. On August 5, you the registered voters, will be electing two new board members and a new Chairman. Jones and Guilford has opponents. These 4 are determined to SHOVE IT TO THE REGISTERED VOTERS by selecting a new Superintendent.
Remember when Dr. Leon Hobbs was Dothan School Superintendent. And YOU, THE REGISTERED VOTERS, were forced to pay Dr. Hobbs and buy out his contract. Education is Dothan Alabama CAN NOT get better with the mindset of RAMMING IT TO THE REGISTERED VOTERS as these four are doing.
None of these four have any children in the Dothan City Schools, with exception of Brenda Guilford who her daughter works in the Central Office of Dothan City Schools.
When Dothan City Schools need more money, JUST SAY NO!!!!!!! Dothan Commissioners, REMOVE THE MILLIONS YOU GIVE TO THE SCHOOL SYSTEM!!!

DALEVILLE: 2:40 PM. Daleville 911 dispatched Daleville Police and Daleville Rescue to a firearm assault call.
The firearm assault is a shooting into an occupied dwelling. Daleville Rescue transported to firearm assault victim and met Wicksburg Fire – Rescue due to a flat tire on ambulance while transporting. A unpreventable incident on the flat tire. Wicksburg Fire – Rescue intercepted Daleville Rescue and patient transferred the patient. Mutual Aid request to Dothan Fire Department which intercepted Wicksburg Rescue on Highway 84 West and Jessica Lane. Dothan Fire boarded the ambulance and patient was transported, emergency, to Southeast Health.
Daleville Director of the Department of Public Safety – Police Chief John Crawford and criminal investigators with Daleville Police are conducting the investigation.

HOUSTON COUNTY: On July 4th Iris Yaneli Flores Garcia, age 21, was arresteed and placed in Houston County Jail for Retail Theft in the third degree. Retail Theft in the third degree is normally shoplifting.
Garcia was placed in jail on a $ 300 bond. The bond was made, however, she was not released from Houston County Jail. The INS placed a hold on her.
This morning, July 7, at 5:02 AM Garcia was released to the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service, commonly referred to as INS.

The deportation is real. And this is one example where a 21 year old undocumented immigrant, who apparently shoplifted, is now on her way to whereabouts unknown to sit in a jail cell awaiting deportation. So when we read all of the stories, believe them, because deportation is real.
