DOTHAN: On Friday evening, the 4th of July, Dothan Police Department’s three TOP COPS were on the streets.
Dothan Police Chief Will Benny, Dothan Police Major Will Glover, and Dothan Police Captain Thomas Davis were on active patrol working side by side with the other men and women.
The 4th of July the 911 Center’s are swamped with calls about fireworks or gunfire. The majority of which are fireworks calls. From the 911 Center’s law enforcement officers are dispatched to respond. So the law enforcement from all over are each busy.
The three top cops are overtime exempt, which means no extra pay. But they wanted to make sure all bassi’s are covered.
Captain Thomas Davis is commands the Patrol Division of Dothan Police Department. All do a great job and have the safety and security of all residents in mind at all times.

WIREGRASS: The news has been slow that last couple of days. In addition Rickey Stokes has been busy with grandson and I pulled my sciatic nerve Sunday just getting out of bed to get ready for church. Has been very painful.
But I have been monitoring the news and events. And everything has been routine and fortunately not much major things happening. Everyone getting ready for the 4th of July. But I am on top of what is happening and will be through the holidays.
If you hear or see anything TEXT RICKEY 334-790-1729. Try to grab some scene pictures and text me. Right now I am the only one because WDHN hired Emma that worked with me. So I run behind sometimes.
After this weekend RSN is going to begin taking strong looks at the candidates for each race, the municipalities and who is who. There are some dangerous candidates running and we will be putting them under a microscope. We now have on board a well experienced law enforcement officer who retired and we are going to place some people we have a lot of complaints on under a microscope. So there will be more haters in the future because when you step on people in power toes, well they like to use their power to destroy. RSN is not out to destroy, just out for their motives to be pure and look after the community.
RSN is looking for bondsman and news people. They can work the same. Need Geneva County, Coffee County, Dale County, Pike County, Jackson County Fl., Washington County, Fl. Holmes County Fl., Seminole County Ha., Early County, Ga., Clay Cunty, Georgia and Quitman County, Georgia, and news Henry County and Barbour County. I really want to focus on Barbour County.
SOME IMMEDIATE FOCUS AREAS COMING …
Help with covering scene action news… always interesting and excitement. I tell people that I chase convicts ( bonding ) and politicians. The difference is the convicts do not lie as much as the politicians!!!!!
The school systems, Dothan School system and Henry County School Supt. Beasley. A lot of complaints on Supt. Beasley actions and mistreatment and abuse of her authority. The Dothan City School and four board members and their actions in several areas, most expecially in the Superintendent selection.
In my opinion Barbour – Bullock County Circuit Court Judge Bert Smithhart is not honest and trustworthy and I want to focus on his track record. Already have a lot of stuff but, in my opinion, he is someone who should not be wearing a black robe and being a Judge. So I want someone in Barbour County because it is time to focus on him. The people of Barbour and Bullock County deserve better.
Also the trash collection in Barbour County. They are not picking it up yet still charging people. The Barbour County Sheriff has had major fights with them and it appears a lot of problems.
Having to do a freeedom of information request but what does the Houston County Commissioners make? And two are double dippers, but D4 James Ivey has been way more honest then his fellow deputy. D4 James Ivey has been honest. And we will get into that the first of the week.
So a lot of information that RSN feels the public needs to know and we will be seeking. You can bet the gate keeprs will try and block it but they better get up early and stay up late when they throw up roadblocks.
RICKEY STOKES NEWS.com A – Advantage Bonding – Southern Court Services The jobs run together. Each are exciting and not many dull moments. Those in authority will play games, duck and hide and I love digging the information out. The jobs will run parallel together. It is fun and exciting. HOUSTON COUNTY: 6:58 PM. Houston County 911 dispatched Rehobeth Fire – Rescue, Southern Junction Volunteer Fire, Houston County Sheriff Deputies and ALEA – Troopers to a single motor vehicle accident. The location was Highway 109 at Providence Road.
Rehobeth EMS unit was on a medical call at the time dispatched. Yet they had two additional ambulances which responded.
On arrival all occupants had self extricated and the injuries were minor. One patient was being transported by a private auto and not EMS.
The SUV appeared to be traveling south on Alabama Highway 109 and for some reason ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
If phone service in this area goes out there is a green box damaged that appears to be a communications device of wires.
ALEA Troopers are in charge of the accident investigation. At 7:22 PM Rehobeth EMS has returned to service.
They said the tubing was clogged up which was expected so they put new tubing in and a new valve
which will regulate his fluid a lot better. They said as long as he does good we can come home tomorrow.
At 3:13 AM he requested some chips, skittles and orange juice
THANK YOU for your prayers so far and continued prayers for future.
9:51 PM.Brantley going to surgery in the next 30 minutes. He has thrown up 10 plus times today. Unknown why but shunt not draining properly. They will replace part or all of it. The tunnel in his brain is already there so will not have to do a new tunnel. If they do not do it right away could be fatal.
UPDATE ON BRANTLEY BRADLEY: 7:39 PM. Brantley, his mom and stepdad – Emily and Josh Fails, and his dad – Mike Bradley, have all just arrived at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Emily, Josh and Brantley had a blow out north of Troy. Josh put the donut tire on and returned to Troy where Jim Whaley Tires put a new tire on.
Emily said Brantley slept most all of the way except one time when he woke up to throw up. Makes about the 9th time today.
Flowers Hospital in Dothan did a great job in doing the scans for Children Hospital and confirming shunt issues as the root of the problem.
Also thank you to Dr. Fred Pich who saved Brantley’s life several years ago and Mark Reynolds who several years ago flew Brantley to Children’s.
Waiting to see what doctors say. In April they went into the back of Brantley’s head and made adjustments on the shunt. Prayerfully it will not be anything major.
THANK YOU for your prayers. Thank you to Jeff Brannon for checking on us.
