HOUSTON COUNTY: 10:56 AM The non emergency phone lines to the Houston County Sheriff Communications Division are not working.
In the non wisdom of Houston County Commission Chairman Brandon Shoupe and the members of the Houston County Commission they changed telephone system. And the system does not work properly. This has been an ongoing issue.
You can get the Houston County Jail on the phone. On holidays the phone rolls to a recording of the Houston County Courthouse and you can not get the jail. Now, other than dialing 911 you can not dial a non emergency line and get the Sheriff Dispatch.
COFFEE COUNTY: If you check the Coffee County Sheriff APP you will see that Adrienne Reid shows released.
REID IS NOT RELEASED FROM JAIL
Coffee County Sheriff Scott Byrd has confirmed that Reid has been transferred to an undisclosed jail. Reid has not been released and will not be released from jail pending trial.
Reid was the birthing instrument that brought a beautiful child, Genesis into the world. She has been charged with the murder of the precious child.
UNFORTUNATELY, the agency has to use all precautions to protect this defendant. And Reid has been moved to a different jail.
The reason the Coffee County Sheriff APP reflects released is that she is no longer in the Coffee County Jail and the APP only reflects the inmates in the Coffee County Jail.
DALEVILLE: 07:00 AM. Hwy. 134 at Daleville City Limits, coming from Newton into Daleville is closed for at least an hour. A multi vehicle accident. Non life threatening injuries but road is closed.
TAYLOR: This evening, Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb and members of Taylor City Council met in a regular Council Meeting.
The actual meeting where council members could actually vote the only matter that was voted on was the approval of the minutes of the last meeting. Following the approval of the minutes the meeting was adjourned. The Mayor and City Council then moved to the Administrative Meeting. In this meeting there can be no voting.
The Mayor and Council moved to the regular agenda payment for an Assistant Magistrate to attend training in Birmingham. Someone from the back of the room, a female believed to be the ASSistant Magistrate yelled that Ann ( Ann Baxter – Court Magistrate ) had already paid for the trip and motel room from court funds. NOTE: Normally expenditures are approved and then paid for. Not paid for then permission requested. So if already paid for the decision of the Taylor City Council matters not!
The item was moved to the next regular City Council Meeting agenda.
Speaking to Mayor Robert Lamb and members of the Taylor City Council. Former Taylor Mayor Billy Snell spoke concerning allegations that Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb has made statements that Mayor Snell has stole $ 30,000.00 or more. When former Mayor Snell made those allegations now Mayor Robert Lamb denied statements and said he has never said it or heard it. Look at members of the Taylor City Council faces when Lamb denied making those statements.
Former Taylor Mayor Billy Snell told Lamb he regretted that he ever called him a friend. Snell, who served 9 years as a Taylor Councilman and 8 years as Taylor Mayor did not seek re-election. Snell said that he stayed out of the Mayor’s race and out of the City of Taylor’s business since he left office. But the comments that Lamb is alleged to have said, Snell said he can no longer remain quiet. Snell told all of the Taylor City Council, most especially Mayor Robert Lamb, the City of Taylor has become the laughing stock of everyone.
As Snell finished Mayor Robert Lamb quipped to the members of Taylor City Council they had better hire him a lawyer.
A lady spoke and RSN will make a different article. It is a long story what she went through.
As Lamb got up and left with the Council still sitting there and went into the hallway he stuck his head back in the council chambers because he heard someone make a comment. Lamb gave a hateful look and after a few seconds he decided it was best for him to leave.
