DOTHAN: 12:44 PM Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire Engine Company 5 ( Eastside ), Pilcher Ambulance and Dothan Police Patrol to 601 Headland Avenue to an edged weapon assault.
Dothan Fire and Pilcher Ambulance were directed to stage until law enforcement arrived and secured the scene.
The victim was reported to have finger cuts and knife wound to the back. Dothan Police Patrol placed a chest seal on the vicitm.
Dothan Fire Medic 5 ( Eastside ) and Pilcher Ambulance transported under trauma alert to Southeast Health.
Dothan Police Criminal Division was dispatched to the scene. The edged weapon assault conducting investigation.
GENEVA COUNTY: David Hall is seeking election as Geneva County Sheriff. The incumbent Sheriff, Tony Helms, is not seeking re-election. RSN met with David Hall to allow a chance for the employers, the registered voters of Geneva County, to be introduced to him.
MONTGOMERY: Today is the last day of the 2026 Regular Session of the Alabama Legislature.
On Wednesday Alabama Senator Roger Smitherman ( D ) spent a lot of the day rambling on, causing some legislation not brought to the floor. The Republican led Senate then did a end run of Senator Smitherman allowing some legislation to be brought to the floor for a vote.
The session will end at 12 midnight when the gavel will strike.
Alabama Governor Kay Ivey could call the legislators into a special session. That is not expected to happen at least until May 19 which is Alabama Election Day.
HOUSTON COUNTY: Greg Holland is the incumbent Houston County Revenue Commissioner. Greg is seeking election as Houston County Revenue Commissioner. RSN met with Greg to allow a chance for the employers, the registered voters of Houston County to be introduced to him.
