The U.S. Coast Guard says a missing boat has been located, but the man believed to be on board is still missing in the waters near Dauphin Island.
Officials confirmed a 22-foot MayCraft vessel has been found. However, Travis White, who was believed to be the only person aboard, has not yet been located.
Search efforts are currently focused on the north side of Dauphin Island, west of the Dauphin Island Bridge and north of Jeremiah Denton Airport, according to reports.
Multiple agencies are assisting in the search, including the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Marine Police Division and Daphne Search and Rescue, alongside the Coast Guard.
Authorities say additional Coast Guard boats and aircraft will continue searching through the night and resume again at first light if needed.
White was last heard from around 3 p.m. when the vessel was reported in the Mobile Bay area. The boat was later reported overdue when it did not return as expected.
Anyone with information about White’s whereabouts is asked to contact U.S. Coast Guard Sector Mobile at 833-MOB-USCG.
The U.S. Department of Defense has identified several American soldiers killed in a recent drone strike tied to escalating tensions involving Iran.
Military officials said the attack targeted a U.S. operations site in Kuwait. The strike occurred as hostilities between the United States and Iran continue to rise across the region.
The soldiers identified include:
Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida
Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska
Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota
Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa
Officials said the service members were assigned to a logistics and sustainment unit responsible for transportation, equipment and supply coordination in support of military operations.
Defense officials confirmed additional service members were also killed in the strike, but their names have not yet been released as families are still being notified.
Military leaders described the fallen soldiers as dedicated service members who served their country with honor. Investigations into the attack remain ongoing as operations continue in the region.
TAYLOR: While the Taylor City Council and Mayor were in Executive Session which was called during the Adminstrative Meeting, a group was gathered outside.
Former Taylor Councilman Merritt Carothers showed up as Taylor Police Officer Tim Miller threatened everyone in the council chambers with arrest if they did not vacate the building. There was a quorum in the council chambers at the time of Officer Tim Miller’s threats of arrest.
A relative of Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb, Denny Ray, was the one yelling at the Council members before Officer Tim Miller threatened everyone to leave. And Ray was yelling at the people, to include RSN for livestreaming the meeting.
Former Councilman Merrit Carothers stated he and his wife were eating dinner and was watching the livestream. He stood it as long as he could and finally had to come to the meeting. Carothers, who unsuccessfully ran for Mayor, said he has lived in Taylor all of his life, loves Taylor and hates seeing Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb destroy the town. Carothers said that Taylor has become a joke since November when Robert Lamb took over as Mayor.
A lady and Denny Ray got in to a yelling match. The lady was threatened by Acting Taylor Police Chief Jimmy Hill. The lady took a copy of the Taylor Personnel Rules and Regulations which was laying on a table in the council chambers. Acting Chief Jimmy Hill threatened the lady that if she did not bring the book back, which is public record, that he would arrest her for Theft of Property. That if she did bring it back he would issue a summons for her to appear before Taylor Municipal Court. She brought the book back and was issued a sumons to appear in court.
The next day the summons and issue was dismissed following her employing a qualified legal counsel to represent her in the matter.
. Acting Chief Hill wanted people to believe that he “just” happened to review the video and saw her take the book. It was laying with maps and other items for public view. Mayor Lamb does not like the lady so many are doubtful that Hill just looked on his own.
Acting Taylor Police Chief Jimmy Hill was forced out of Samson as Police Chief and his wife who worked for the City of Samson was forced to resign. Hill works full time as a Geneva County Sheriff Patrol Deputy. He is only Acting Police Chief in Taylor.
The time allowed to serve as Acting Police Chief is about to expire. Speculation is that Mayor Robert Lamb will name Officer Tim Miller as Acting Police Chief.
The termination hearing on James Braizer has never been held as due process rules and regulations of both the Taylor Personnel Rules and Regulations and the laws of the State of Alabama require.
Whle other people were not allowed to speak, Mayor Robert Lamb’s relative and supporter Denny Ray was allowed to scream and yell in the meeting. Councilman Kenny tHompson, not Mayor Lamb, finally directed Taylor Police Officer Tim Miller to make Denny Ray leave the building.
TAYLOR: Tonight Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb and members of the Taylor City Council met in a regular council meeting. Following the 19 minute regular meeting Mayor Lamb and the City Council members went into the Administrative Meeting.
Taylor Councilman Milner asked for an Executive Session. Mayor Lamb stated he was sick and he was going home. Milner called Lamb out stating that last meeting Mayor Lamb walked out of the Executive Session.

The man yelling at the end of the meeting was a friend and supporter of Mayor Robert Lamb. He was yeling at everyone and Mayor Lamb allowed him to do so.
Mayor Lamb ordered Taylor Police Officer Tim Miller to clear the Council Chambers.
While Mayor Lamb said he was not going into Executive Session, Lamb stayed in the meeting.

Citizens were outside getting signatures for a recall petition of Taylor Mayor Robert Lamb.
Gov. Kay Ivey has awarded a $598,000 grant to the Alabama Department of Corrections to expand substance abuse treatment programs inside state prisons.
The funding will support Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) programs at eight correctional facilities across Alabama. The initiative includes a six-month intensive treatment phase designed to address addiction, followed by at least 12 months of continued group counseling focused on long-term behavioral change.
“Inmates who have overcome their drug dependency are much less likely to commit additional crimes upon release,” Ivey said. “These programs can help inmates take the steps needed to turn their lives around and make our communities safer.”
The grant is being administered by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) using funds provided by the U.S. Department of Justice.
ADECA Director Kenneth Boswell said the program benefits both incarcerated individuals and the communities they will eventually return to.
“Substance abuse treatment programs benefit both the incarcerated individuals themselves and the communities they will return to when they are released,” Boswell said. “I am pleased to join Gov. Ivey in support of this program to help prisoners become drug-free.”
ADECA oversees a variety of statewide programs, including initiatives supporting law enforcement, victim services, economic development, water resource management, energy conservation and recreation.
The Town of Ashford has issued a Boil Water Advisory for residents until further notice.
Officials are advising all customers to boil water before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one full minute before use.
This advisory is typically issued as a precaution due to potential contamination risks following water system issues such as pressure loss, line breaks, or maintenance work.
Residents will be notified once the advisory has been lifted.
